Tỷ phú Nhật lỗ 41 triệu USD vì chơi chứng khoán trong dịch Covid-19

Một tỷ phú Nhật Bản đã lỗ hơn 41 triệu USD vì “non tay” giao dịch cổ phiếu giữa lúc thị trường biến động bởi dịch Covid-19.

Yusaku Maezawa là nhà sáng lập, cựu giám đốc điều hành hãng bán lẻ thời trang trực tuyến Zozo, vừa thông báo trên tài khoản Twitter cá nhân rằng ông đã lỗ 4,4 tỷ yên (41,4 triệu USD) vì giao dịch cổ phiếu ngắn hạn trong lúc thị trường đang diễn biến thất thường vì dịch Covid-19.

Trong đó, Maezawa bày tỏ sự nuối tiếc vì mạo hiểm đầu tư vào loại hình mà ông chưa thành thạo, và tuyên bố sẽ kiếm lại khoản tiền trên bằng việc kinh doanh.

“Tôi không biết thị trường đang biến động vì dịch Covid-19 và để mất 4,4 tỷ yên. Số tiền đó có thể giúp đỡ được bao nhiêu người”, Yusaku Maezawa viết trên Twitter.

Những người theo dõi Maezawa có phản ứng trái chiều. Một số người bày tỏ sự đồng cảm, trong khi số khác lại bàn tán về khoản lỗ.

Theo Bloomberg, tài sản của Maezawa trong năm nay vào khoảng 3,5 tỷ USD, giảm 215 triệu USD so với năm 2019.

Tỷ phú Nhật Bản cũng được biết đến là người muốn tạo sự chú ý trên Twitter. Hồi đầu năm, Maezawa từng đăng dòng trạng thái thông báo tuyển ứng viên nữ để cùng ông du hành lên mặt trăng bằng tàu tên lửa của Elon Musk vào năm 2023, và đã phải hủy kế hoạch vì bị chỉ trích.
