Theo Bloomberg, hàng loạt doanh nhân hoạt động trong lĩnh vực y tế và dược phẩm tại Trung Quốc hưởng lợi cực lớn từ dịch virus corona chủng mới có nguồn gốc từ Vũ Hán (tỉnh Hồ Bắc).
Công ty sản xuất bông gạc y tế Allmed Medical Products Co – có trụ sở tại Tử Giang, tỉnh Hồ Bắc – hiện sản xuất cả khẩu trang để đáp ứng nhu cầu tăng cao tại Trung Quốc và trên thế giới.
Các sản phẩm chất lượng cao của công ty này rất hiện được ưa chuộng tại Trung Quốc. Nhờ đó, Chủ tịch Allmed Cui Jinhai trở thành “ông trùm” ngành y tế và công nghệ sinh học tại Trung Quốc.
Từ đầu năm đến nay, giá cổ phiếu của Allmed đã tăng hơn 200%, giúp ông Cui Jinhai trở thành tỷ phú USD, theo Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Giá cổ phiếu của Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co. – công ty phát triển bộ xét nghiệm nghiệm nhanh virus và kháng thể – tăng hơn 40% kể từ đầu năm. Nhờ đó, Chủ tịch Li Wenmei và vợ Wang Jihua cũng gia nhập danh sách tỷ phú USD.
Một số tỷ phú y dược Trung Quốc chứng kiến tài sản phình to nhanh chóng. Giá cổ phiếu của Hangzhou Tigermed Consulting Co. của tỷ phú Ye Xiaoping tăng 8% từ đầu năm.
Theo tính toán của Forbes, tính đến cuối năm 2019 doanh nhân Ye sở hữu 1,77 tỷ USD. Tập đoàn nghiên cứu dược phẩm của ông Ye được nhà chức trách Trung Quốc cấp phép thử nghiệm lâm sàng loại thuốc chống virus mới có tên Remdesivir.
Tương tự, đại dịch toàn cầu cũng cũng giúp Hualan Biological Engineering ăn nên làm ra, nhờ đó tài sản của Chủ tịch An Kang tăng vọt. Theo Forbes, tài sản của ông An Kang đã tăng lên đến 3,7 tỷ USD tính đến ngày 13/3. Hualan là công ty từng sản xuất vaccine chống virus cúm H1N1 và đang nghiên cứu về Covid-19.
