Xin chào anh, là một cái tên rất quen thuộc đối với nhiều khán giả/độc giả, anh là phóng viên hiếm hoi thường xuyên tác nghiệp ở các sự kiện thể thao lớn trên đấu trường quốc tế, cơ duyên đưa anh đến đấu trường quốc tế như thế nào?
Trương Anh Ngọc: Thời gian đầu còn làm bóng đá ở đài Hà Nội, tôi tự nhủ một ngày nào đó, tôi phải ngồi ở chính khán đài đó, dưới ánh nắng đó, gặp gỡ những con người đó. Mình bình luận thế đủ rồi, mình phải đi đến chính nơi đó. Và ước mơ đã trở thành hiện thực khi các đấu trường thể thao đỉnh cao từ châu Âu đến Wold Cup đều có mặt tham dự và mỗi chuyến đi đều để lại cho tôi những dấu ấn trải nghiệm quý giá. Tôi nghĩ, cơ duyên một phần đến từ niềm đam mê với thể thao, đặc biệt là bóng đá, chắc vì thế mọi nỗ lực dành cho tình yêu lớn này được mọi người công nhận và trao niềm tin cho tôi.
Những hành trình trải nghiệm khắp thế giới với tình yêu bóng đá, có những dấu ấn và cảm nhận nào đọng lại trong sự nghiệp phóng viên của anh?
Trương Anh Ngọc: Những dấu ấn làm tôi khó quên là lần thực hiện cuộc phỏng vấn ngắn với danh thủ Alessandro Del Piero tại trung tâm huấn luyện của Câu lạc bộ Juventus Ý vào năm 2009. Đây cũng là lần đầu tiên có một phóng viên người Việt Nam trực tiếp liên hệ và giữ bản quyền phỏng vấn một cầu thủ châu Âu mà không thông qua bất kể bên thứ ba nào.
Dấu ấn thứ 2 là vào năm 2010, Tạp chí France Football trực tiếp liên hệ tôi làm đại diện cho các nhà báo Việt Nam trong cuộc bình chọn Quả bóng vàng, giải thưởng cá nhân danh giá nhất đối với các cầu thủ trên toàn thế giới. Từ đó đến nay, tôi là nhà báo duy nhất của Việt Nam hàng năm có vinh dự này.

Đấy mới chỉ là 2 trong số rất nhiều những điều tôi đã trải qua trên những hành trình tác nghiệp ở nước ngoài, và bóng đá cũng chỉ là một phần nhỏ trong những đam mê và công việc, bởi trong vai trò của một phóng viên thường trú của TTXVN tại châu Âu, tôi cũng viết về chính trị, kinh tế, văn hoá, lịch sử, tôn giáo, đồng thời tháp tùng nhiều đoàn cấp cao của Chính phủ sang làm việc cũng. Tôi đã đi nhiều nơi trên thế giới trong vai trò của một người lữ hành chứ không phải du khách thông thường, sống cùng với người bản địa, quan sát, trải nghiệm và “nhúng sâu” mình vào đời sống địa phương. Tôi chưa bao giờ cảm thấy mình là một người xa lạ và không thể hoà nhập vào cuộc sống ở những nơi tôi đã đặt chân đến.

Trương Anh Ngọc: Tôi đã lái xe hàng trăm ngàn cây số trên đất châu Âu, thực hiện nhiều chuyến đi dài để trải nghiệm và viết.
