Bộ Công Thương cho biết đã nhận được phản ánh Heineken Việt Nam có dấu hiệu vi phạm Luật Cạnh tranh và vào cuộc hỗ trợ các bên thu thập chứng cứ để có cơ sở xem xét theo quy định.
Trao đổi với Zing, lãnh đạo Cục Cạnh tranh và Bảo vệ Người tiêu dùng (Bộ Công Thương) cho biết đã nhận được thông tin từ doanh nghiệp sản xuất, kinh doanh bia phản ánh về chính sách của Công ty TNHH Nhà Máy Bia Heineken Việt Nam (HVBL) đối với các đại lý có bán bia của hãng khác có dấu hiệu vi phạm pháp luật cạnh tranh.
Trên cơ sở đó, lãnh đạo Cục cho biết đã tổ chức buổi làm việc với doanh nghiệp để hướng dẫn quy trình, thủ tục khiếu nại vụ việc cạnh tranh theo quy định của pháp luật về cạnh tranh. Đồng thời, Cục đã đề nghị các doanh nghiệp liên quan thu thập tài liệu, chứng cứ và cung cấp thông tin chính thức để có cơ sở xem xét theo đúng quy định.

“Cục đang tiếp tục phối hợp tích cực với các bên liên quan để thu thập thông tin về vụ việc. Trường hợp phát hiện có dấu hiệu vi phạm pháp luật cạnh tranh, Cục sẽ xử lý và công khai kết quả xử lý theo quy định hiện hành”, lãnh đạo Cục Cạnh tranh và Bảo vệ Người tiêu dùng cho biết.
Trước đó, phản ánh với Zing, một số đại lý phân phối bia tại TP.HCM cho biết sẽ bị Heineken cắt khoản hỗ trợ (hàng tháng từ vài triệu đến hàng chục triệu đồng), nếu bán bia của hãng khác. Nghĩa là đại lý bia nếu đã đồng ý bán bia cho Heineken, thì chỉ được bán bia của hãng này, mà không được bán bia của hãng khác.
Liên hệ HVBL để làm rõ việc hãng có áp dụng chính sách này xuống các đại lý, hay do cá biệt một số nhân viên kinh doanh tự ý làm vậy, đại diện phía công ty cho Zing biết sẽ kiểm tra lại và có phản hồi chính thức sau.
Theo hãng nghiên cứu thị trường Euromonitor International, Việt Nam là quốc gia tiêu thụ bia lớn thứ ba tại châu Á sau Trung Quốc và Nhật Bản. Doanh số tiêu thụ bia tại Việt Nam tăng 6,6% trong 6 năm liên tiếp, vượt xa mức tăng toàn cầu 0,2%. Bia chiếm 95% tổng tiêu thụ đồ uống có cồn tại Việt Nam.
Reuters nhìn nhận, tại thị trường màu mỡ này, HVBL và Sabeco đang cạnh tranh dữ dội để giành giật thị phần, chủ yếu thông qua hàng loạt sản phẩm mới và chiến lược quảng cáo, phân phối.
