 Pepsi sắp sửa thâu tóm thêm một công ty bán đồ ăn trực tuyến trong nỗ lực củng cố chỗ đứng của mình trong thị trường thực phẩm và đồ uống lớn nhất thế giới.

Pepsi cho biết hôm Chủ nhật rằng thỏa thuận mua lại công ty bán đồ ăn vặt trực tuyến Be & Cheery, trị giá 705 triệu USD, sẽ giúp doanh nghiệp Mỹ trở thành “công ty thực phẩm và đồ uống lấy người tiêu dùng làm trung tâm hàng đầu của Trung Quốc”.

Giá trị của thị trường đồ ăn nhẹ của Trung Quốc đã tăng hơn 400% trong giai đoạn 2006-2016, theo ước tính năm 2019 từ Bộ Thương mại nước này. Các chuyên gia từ Bắc Kinh cho biết họ hy vọng thị trường sẽ trị giá gần 3 nghìn tỷ nhân dân tệ (tương đương 427 tỷ USD) trong năm nay.

Chủ sở hữu hiện tại của thương hiệu, Haoxiangni Health Food, đã mua Be & Cheery vào tháng 8 năm 2016 với giá 960 triệu nhân dân tệ (136,5 triệu USD).
