VPBank vừa công bố báo cáo tài chính quý II. Kết thúc 6 tháng đầu năm, tổng thu nhập hoạt động hợp nhất của ngân hàng đạt 18.854 tỷ đồng, tăng 12% so với cùng kỳ.
Tăng trưởng tín dụng hợp nhất của VPBank đạt 9,8% so với cuối năm 2019. Trong đó, tỷ lệ tăng trưởng này ở ngân hàng riêng lẻ đạt tới 12,7%. Đây là mức tăng trưởng ấn tượng trong bối cảnh chung toàn thị trường đang bị tác động bởi dịch bệnh Covid-19 từ đầu năm tới nay.
Theo VPBank, điểm nhấn mang lại kết quả tốt về doanh thu và hoạt động cho vay là phản ứng linh hoạt và nhanh nhạy của ngân hàng trước những thách thức bất ngờ của thị trường. Ngay khi dịch bệnh Covid-19 bắt đầu bùng phát trong tháng 2/2020, VPBank đã đưa ra những kịch bản kinh doanh mới nhằm tiếp tục đa dạng hóa nguồn thu. Nhờ đó, nguồn thu lãi thuần từ phí dịch vụ (NFI) của ngân hàng mẹ đã tăng trưởng gần 42% so với nửa đầu năm 2019, đạt hơn 1.400 tỷ đồng. Tỷ trọng đóng góp của NFI trên tổng doanh thu của ngân hàng mẹ đã tăng từ 13% trong 6 tháng đầu năm trước lên 15% cùng kỳ năm nay, góp phần giảm sự phụ thuộc của ngân hàng vào nguồn thu từ lãi.
Thu nhập từ nợ đã xử lý rủi ro cũng đóng góp vào sự tăng trưởng ổn định của doanh thu. Kết thúc 6 tháng đầu năm, khoản thu nhập này tại ngân hàng hợp nhất đạt hơn 1.000 tỷ đồng, tăng 37% so với cùng kỳ năm trước. Song song với việc đẩy mạnh thu hồi nợ là các giải pháp quyết liệt đã được thực hiện để kiểm soát rủi ro nợ xấu trong bối cảnh nền kinh tế đang bất ổn.
Tỷ lệ nợ xấu hợp nhất của VPBank tính đến cuối tháng 6 đã giảm xuống mức 2,71%, từ mức 2,95% cuối năm 2019. Trong đó, tỷ lệ nợ xấu của ngân hàng mẹ giảm từ 2,18% xuống còn 2,07%.
VPBank hiện cũng là một trong những ngân hàng có hệ số an toàn vốn (CAR) cao nhất trên thị trường. Đến cuối tháng 6/2020, hệ số CAR của VPBank đạt 11,27% tính theo tiêu chuẩn Basel II, cao hơn nhiều so với mức 8% được Ngân hàng Nhà nước yêu cầu.
Sự thận trọng trong phòng ngừa rủi ro còn được phản ánh ở tỷ lệ tăng chi phí dự phòng của ngân hàng. Trong nửa đầu năm nay, chi phí dự phòng của VPBank – nếu loại trừ khoản chi phí dự phòng cho VAMC của năm ngoái – tăng 8,6%. Tỷ lệ này ở ngân hàng riêng lẻ là gần 30,4%. Theo đại diện ngân hàng, VPBank luôn thận trọng và đủ tiềm lực tài chính phòng ngừa rủi ro có thể phát sinh khi nền kinh tế đang ở giai đoạn khó lường.

Ngoài ra, kiểm soát tốt và tối ưu hóa các quy trình và chi phí hoạt động cũng đóng một vai trò quan trọng củng cố sự tăng trưởng bền vững của ngân hàng thời gian qua. Chi phí hoạt động hợp nhất của ngân hàng trong 6 tháng qua thậm chí đã giảm 3%. Nếu đặt cạnh tốc độ tăng trưởng 12% của doanh thu hợp nhất, mức giảm này cho thấy sự hiệu quả trong hoạt động kinh doanh của VPBank từ đầu năm đến nay.
Nhờ vậy, chỉ số chi phí trên thu nhập hợp nhất của ngân hàng giảm từ 33,9% cuối năm 2019 xuống 31% tính đến cuối tháng 6/2020. Chỉ số này ở ngân hàng riêng lẻ thậm chí còn được cải thiện mạnh hơn, từ 38% xuống còn 32,6%. Những sự cải thiện trên đã giúp VPBank củng cố vị thế là một trong những ngân hàng có tỷ suất sinh lời trên vốn chủ sở hữu (ROE) và tỷ suất sinh lời trên tổng tài sản (ROA) cao nhất thị trường. Tỷ lệ ROE tính đến cuối tháng 6 tăng lên 23,5% từ 21,5% cuối năm 2019, và ROA tăng lên 2,7% từ 2,4% trong cùng thời kỳ. Nếu xét riêng ngân hàng mẹ, hai chỉ số này đạt được sự cải thiện tốt hơn, với ROE tăng từ 18,8% lên 23,6% và ROA tăng từ 1,7% lên 2,1%.
Kết quả của những giải pháp kiểm soát hoạt động, thúc đẩy kinh doanh linh hoạt, thận trọng và hiệu quả nói trên đã mang lại gần 6.600 tỷ đồng lợi nhuận hợp nhất trước thuế, tương đương 64% kế hoạch lợi nhuận ngân hàng đã đặt ra. Riêng ngân hàng mẹ đóng góp gần 4.200 tỷ đồng, chiếm 64% tổng lợi nhuận trước thuế hợp nhất.
